Commercials during the 12 Monkeys marathon

So I set my DVR to record the 3rd season of 12 Monkeys back in May and have just gotten around to watching it this week.I noticed that on the first night that there were minimal commercials, and when they did air they were less than a minute total. I found myself watching more commercials during the first three episodes than I have probably in the last three years combined. The commercials were also relevant to my interests (sci fi movies/shows, tech items, etc...). I honestly didn't mind the very minimal intrusions. The following two nights episodes were right back to normal and I was fast forwarding through these commercials just like I have always done.BBC American is an even worse offender. I am driven insane by the number and length of commercial interruptions. The last 15 minutes of airtime on Dr. Who, Class, and Broadchurch have about 5 minutes of content.I don't think I am alone in that i would definitely watch shorter, more relevant commercials instead of fast forwarding through the multi-minute crap and drivel. It is easy enough to get the metrics on DVR viewings and see what is being watched versus what is being blown past. via /r/television http://ift.tt/2tNJRUE
