Life (2017) - Movie list of idiotic and "convenient" situations. [SPOILERS]

Ok this movie would've been fine if it weren't for the number of idiotic and convenient situations that made every moment feel scripted.Using gloves to study an unknown organism. (Mechanical arms not an option?)Watching and doing nothing while Calvin slowly pierces through the glove. (Just quickly grab the man and bail!)No contingency to jettison the lab into deep space. The fact that the pods are not completely sealed off from each other.Conveniently leaving the coolant cap off and having a conversation knowing there's a hostile creature inside the system.Knowing you will die anyway and not thinking of grabbing Calvin and kicking off into space. (Astronauts are trained to think and react quickly.)Not thinking of sealing yourselves in a pod and draining the life support BEFORE "accidently" sending the ISS towards earth. The scientist not realizing Calvin was on his leg. (He never looked down and saw an obvious lump? How did Calvin know he wouldn't feel it?)Sho going a different direction when he had plenty of time to enter the pod. (Debatable I guess.)Sho's communicator conveniently breaking for no reason whatsoever. (They could've told him where it was so he could escape while it was away.)Earth sending another pod to push the ISS into space and choosing the only pod with Calvin inside. The new astronauts having no means of local communication from their pod. What the hell was Sho trying to do when he rushed into the pod? Did he know they were being pushed into space? He didn't seemed surprised when the room was empty. Then he starts detaching the new pod? (Someone please explain this to me.)There is no way anyone would be able to pull themselves along so conveniently while being sucked into the vacuum of space. (What is keeping Calvin against the wall?)Calvin getting back in after Sho's sacrifice. (So convenient.)Slowly freezing to death and never putting on a space suit for insulation. (Doesn't take a scientist.)The "genius" idea that you will somehow overpower Calvin long enough to pilot the pod away from earth. (The fact that Calvin didn't immediately kill him was convenient enough.)Not bringing more oxygen flares to distract Calvin. (Could've had him sucking on those the entire time you piloted into deep space.)Calvin somehow knowing that keeping him from piloting the pod was in his best interest. (What if he was piloting to try to save himself? How would have Calvin know if he was a hero or a coward?)The obvious "twist" ending. (At what point did she record the black box message? Before she realized she was screwed? The problems started pretty early so there's no window of relief.)Two men seeing a strange creature in a locked pod with a man screaming "NO!" and still proceeding. (Their presence and proximity is way too convenient for one thing. Could've been a government rescue for the pod the world was already watching. Which would mean that pod would remained closed. The word "NO" is still pretty universal. Even without understanding the word, the tone screams volumes. Insanely convenient.)That ending music just annoyed the hell out of me. Trying to manufacture shock through loud repetitive tones. (Like the director was 100% sure no one would guess the obvious twist.)This movie sure as hell doesn't seem like it had the world's best and brightest working on the ISS. One scientist? Limited information on firewalls? They should all have known the procedures and have been ready for it. Why not just let yourself get pushed into deep space? Why even risk humanity? No bravery here. Only stupidity. Could've been so much better. via /r/movies http://ift.tt/2vqRX3y
