TV shows are allowed to continue for many seasons and we embrace the long form story telling in TV. Game of Thrones, is basically telling a single story from the start, and yet every season the anticipation and viewership is increasing. However, in films, lately there has been criticism of how there are too many sequels and franchises, and lack of original movies. My point is that why are movies criticized when they have sequels, but TV shows are celebrated when they have new seasons? I know some franchises are lauded, such as the MCU, but there still seems to be some negativity towards sequels. via /r/movies http://ift.tt/2uKZgW5
