The Flintstones (1994): For those who grew up watching the series, how does the film stand in your eyes?

I thought John Goodman was a terrific Fred Flintstone. He got everything right: the mannerisms, the voice, the personality. They couldn't have found a more perfect casting choice. The rest? Rick Moranis came off as somewhat wackier, Elizabeth Perkins wasn't bad, she was a decent Wilma. The problem was how underwritten her character is. She barely does anything in the film except be the stereotypical mildly stern yet supportive wife. As for Rosie O'Donnell as Betty Rubble? My reactionStill, the sets were impressive and the supporting cast, including Kyle MacLachlan, a glamorous Halle Berry (as Sharon Stone) and Elizabeth Taylor's last performance in a feature film, is very good. via /r/movies http://ift.tt/2t2Ngft
